TRACK SAWING (WALL SAWING)
Track sawing is the fastest and most precise method for forming vertical cuts. It is commonly used for forming door/window openings, wall height reduction and when it is not possible to use a floor saw with regards to access, cut location or weight issues etc when forming openings for stairs/escalators through floors.
The track saw system compiles of a track this is bolted to the surface and a hydraulic head and blade are then secured to the track. The head then travels forwards and backwards along the track. The operator controls the saw from a pack that is located in a suitable location to allow the operator to have a good vision of the cut line but maintain a safe distance away from the cutting operation. The cut is made as the blade makes a pass along the surface; the depth of each pass is dependant on the structure of the surface. The track saw can be used in the horizontal, vertical or inverted position.
