CHASING

Chasing is the name given to the forming of neat channels predominantly for mechanical and electrical trades where “chases” are required to conceal pipe- work/conduits either in a wall, floor or ceiling.

The chases are formed using a hand held electric grinder fitted with a diamond blade. The grinder is fitted with a dust hood and this in turn is connected to a dust extraction vacuum, this ensures that the dust is controlled and doesn't escape into the surrounding area. Two slots are cut at the correct depth and width and then the centre section is removed using a lightweight breaker.
